Barasti’s House of Whatever launches month-long acoustic competition
Over the years, Barasti has seen the likes of Fatman Scoop, Nicky Romero and Benny Bennassi perform, but now it’s time to open up the stage to Dubai’s local talent at Beam Unplugged.
It’s competition time at Barasti’s big summer event, House of Whatever, where undiscovered acoustic musicians will go head-to-head on the main stage in the quest to take home cash prizes, a new fan squad and the grand prize.
Taking place every Tuesday from 9pm until 10pm, the month-long acoustic competition will see 12 contestants battle it out onstage, while the crowds can take on a selection of drink offers.
Performers will be scored out of 10 by three industry judges and a little crowd enthusiasm – so be prepared to cheer the loudest for your favourite rising star.
“Beam Unplugged will provide a one-of-a-kind opportunity for talented up-and-coming musicians to be exposed to a large audience and land a gig as a Barasti resident”, said assistant director of food and beverage Phil Hardie.
“This is something new for Barasti, and we’re excited to see the place come alive with some real local talent.”
The final will take place on Tuesday July 2 with the winner rocking the stage. Keep that date free in your diary.
