Things to do this week in Dubai
You having a laugh? You will be (hopefully). British comedian Josh Widdicombe is coming to Dubai his very month, so get a wriggle on and get those tickets booked.
Widdicombe is taking to the stage for one night only at Dubai Opera on Friday September 13, with the 36-year-old joining a stellar line-up of theatre, opera, music and more taking place at the arts hub before the end of 2019.
As well as being an established stand-up, Widdicombe has appeared on a host of panel shows and hosts UK comedy show, The Last Leg. He also created – and starred in – Josh, a sitcom about three young adults who share a flat in North London, which also featured Jack Dee and Jennifer Saunders. The show ran for three series up until 2017.
Widdicombe will be supported at the Friday night event by Lloyd Langford and Maisie Adam, while the night will be hosted by Ed Gamble.
Tickets are now on sale, priced from AED150.
Huge comedy acts such as Michael McIntyre, Al Murray, Russel Peters and Jason Byrne have all performed in Dubai so far this year, as well as Jason Manford back in July, meaning Widdicombe joins an illustrious list.
It promises to be a great night.

It’s certainly a different way of experiencing the movie, but enjoyable nonetheless, and it’s sure to be a hit.
