Square Grand Opening
It might sound like an urban redevelopment project, but there is plenty to celebrate when this trio of nightspots in JW Marriott Marquis is officially opened this weekend. Square nightclub, which first opened its doors on the hotel’s fifth floor in May, is being joined by Garden, a Peruvian restaurant and lounge, and Park, an outside terrace. The grand opening of all three takes place on Thursday October 8, and with DJ Mark Fanciulli headlining, it’s set to be a big one.

Kisstory at Nassimi
The first Nasimi event of the season, Kisstory plays homage to some of the best old-school anthems in memory. DJ Luck & MC Neat will be on stage alongside The Artful Dodger under the UK garage banner, with the likes of Blackstreet’s Eric Williams and Jagged Edge’s Wingo supplying the US R&B offering.

Woman in Black at Madinat Theatre
This spine-chilling adaptation of Susan Hill’s 1983 gothic ghost story, in which a young actor helps recount Arthur Kipps’ eerie journal about strange visitations from a mysterious woman, has visited the UAE three times now, playing to a combined audience in excess of 15,000 people. The Madinat Jumeirah Theatre is again the host for what will be nine performances over seven hectic days. For David Seddon, though, who was part of each previous production, it is a welcome return to familiar territory.

80’s & 90’s night at Embassy
Embassy are hosting a #throwback every Saturday full of classic tunes from the 80’s and 90’s. The nostalgic evening will be headed up by resident DJ Shannon, with floor fillers playing from 9pm to 3am.
