The JBR traffic problem might be solved soon
Anyone who lives in JBR, or has tried to dive down there for any reason, will know that the area is blighted by traffic problems. Along The Walk, which has a one way system, you could easily find yourself stuck for an hour.
It's taken us over 45 mins just to cross a few lanes to get to The Walk JBR, bumper to bumper traffic at midnight.— Sanjay Arora (@chiefsanjay) September 25, 2015
With over 300 shops, restaurants and hotels, it’s also a hotbed for tourists, further adding to the gridlock. Another problem is the Dubai Tram line, which has caused quite a lot of controversy since it was installed last year.
But have no fear JBR residents, things are looking up.
Apparently Dubai Properties have commissioned a consultancy firm to help solve the problem. Abdullatif AlMulla, Dubai Property Group’s CEO, told Arabian Business: “We know for sure JBR is one of the most successful destinations we have built… and has huge demand. We have appointed a company and we are working with the RTA to make the flow in and out of JBR much more seamless.”
Hopefully they’ll come up with the answer soon, and tweets like this will be a thing of the past.

Jbr's forever long traffic signal and a metre that's running. Yaar.— Halima Islam (@halimaislam) August 22, 2015
