Virgin Radio’s RedFestDXB has every base covered, with the likes of rap, pop, urban and electronic. The latest headline confirmation adds EDM to the mix, in the form of cake-throwing legend Steve Aoki. He joins 50 Cent, Rita Ora, The Vamps, Adam Lambert and Eva Simons for the event, which is being held at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on Thursday 12 and Friday 13 February next year.

The 37-year-old DJ and producer is notorious on the electronic music scene, having worked with the likes of will.i.am, LMFAO, Iggy Azalea and Laidback Luke. His albums, including Wonderland which was nominated for a Grammy in 2013, regularly hit number one on the US Billboard, and he headlines festivals around the globe.

Aoki joins a diverse line-up at RedFestDXB, including 50 Cent, aka Curtis Jackson, who was last in Dubai at 2012’s Atelier Festival. Since then, the once mega-rich rapper has filed for bankruptcy and starred in blockbuster film Southpaw. Despite the ups and downs of the last few years ‘Fiddy’ remains at the top of his game, regularly joking about his financial situation as he continues to perform across the world. Possibly most famous for his 2003 breakout single “In da Club” from his debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin’, he now runs his own record label G-Unit Records, which has seen him work with artists such as LL Cool J and Rocka-A-Fella.

Also on the bill is British songstress Rita Ora, who is racking up the number ones. In fact, she was crowned the artist with the most number one UK records in 2012, and went on to be nominated for three Brit Awards in 2013. Her hits such as “R.I.P”, “How We Do” and “I Will Never Let You Down” have crossed continents. As if she wasn’t busy enough, she also had a small part in Southpaw, which will no doubt secure her bigger roles in the future. She also portrays Christian Grey’s sister, Mia, in the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy.

The Vamps, Adam Lambert and Eva Simons are the other confirmed headliners so far.

February 11 and 12, Dubai Media City Amphitheatre. Pre-register for tickets atwww.redfestdxb.com
