What will the new iPhone 7 look like?

Calling all geeks. It looks like you will only have to wait another five months before the new iPhone 7 is out. We’ve been looking through all the tech websites, expert forecasts and general rumours, and here’s a quick round up of what we know/think/guess.

When will it be out?
At the very latest, sometime in September this year – but don’t be surprised if Apple brings it out even earlier.

What will it look like?
Expect something quite different. The current iPhone 6s is 7.1mm thick. Looks like Apple could bring this down to as small as just 6mm. It could be an all metal design, and water proof. Most experts think the bulky 3.5mm headphone jack will be scrapped and the camera built in rather than sticking out.

Will the screen be different?
Almost certainly there will be much better resolution and a 4k display. It could also go for a Samsung style curved screen.

What about the battery?
Now here’s the problem. We can’t find anyone predicting a huge leap in battery power, meaning you will be lucky to get through a day on full charge.

How much will it cost?
The good news is that Apple is unlikely to hike up the price, so should start around the AED2000 mark.

So should I wait until September rather than but the 6s?
You probably have to be quite tech savvy to either understand or make use of all the new features. But then when it comes to the iPhone it’s all about status – so yes, probably worth waiting.
