Netflix is testing a feature that could ruin your viewing experience forever

We’ve long talked about how much we love Netflix – the shows, quality documentaries and original films, love them, all. But, much like with some relationships, it has gone and betrayed us. Well, not us per say, but several users across the globe.

Several binge watchers have taken to Reddit to address their thoughts on the streaming platform’s new ads trial that sees adverts of unrelated TV shows pop up in between episodes of new or new seasons of shows like Orange Is The New Black and Better Call Saul. And, as you would expect, none of them are happy...

So, why is Netflix toying with its biggest selling factor?

In short, it’s trying to help us, mere mortals, find new stories and shows that we might like, faster. No, really, here’s the official statement: “We are testing whether surfacing recommendations between episodes help members discover stories they will enjoy faster.”

Given that many people are already furious, we think that the answer is a solid NO.

So far, no viewers in the Middle East have reported experiencing the ads but, given that its already made it's way to countries like Germany, Australia and the US, we think that it's just a matter of time.
