Huge Star Wars event releases new teaser for Episode 9
The saga is finally coming to an end, folks. After 42 years, eight official movies and countless spin-offs the last official flick (for now...) is on its way, and you can now get a first glimpse at it.
During the huge Star Wars Celebration 2019 event in Chicago, a brand-new teaser trailer released for Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker, and apparently, “no one is ever really gone.”
It seems that rings true, but we also hear the cackling of the Emperor right Luke Skywalker says that. Look like we know the big baddie for the finale.
The trailer also shows off Rey, now the last of the Jedi, who seems to know a lot more about The Force – flipping over a jet fighter with Lightsaber in hand.
It also shows Kylo Ren taking down a foe in a forest, still along with his Storm Troopers, and inscribing some new designs on his helmet. He really loves that thing, doesn’t he?
Would you look at that, Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Williams) is back, and he’s flying the Mil-lennium Falcon with Chewbacca off into hyperspace. Let’s just hope he doesn’t meet the same fate as the ships last driver…
With the name being “Rise of Skywalker,” we wonder if there are any other Skywalkers run-ning about? Or maybe Rey truly is the daughter of Luke? Only one was to find out.
We’ll have to wait until the end of the year to see it all go down, set to release on December 19, 2019.
The Star Wars Celebration event also revealed a full story trailer for brand-new game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
No more Star Wars Battlefront, this seems to be a full story that’s part of Star Wars canon. We can’t wait.
Now, how many times have you hit that repeat button?
