The Big Bang Theory to come to an end
The final episode of hit American comedy The Big Bang Theory is set to air on Thursday May 16, with the show expected to attract millions of viewers worldwide.
Leonard, Sheldon, Penny, Howard, Raj and the rest of their friends will come together one last time as fans of the award-winning comedy prepare to say goodbye to the characters they have grown to love over the years.
The good news, if there is such a thing when a hugely popular show draws to a close, is that fans of The Big Bang Theory here in Dubai will be able to watch the hotly-anticipated final episode on the same day it airs stateside.
That’s all thanks to STARZPLAY, the leading subscription video on demand (SVOD) service which has been adding every new episode of the show on a weekly basis, every Friday.
The Big Bang Theory focuses on the lives of highly intelligent best friends Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki) and Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons), who are virtually untouchable academically, but almost clueless when dealing with normal daily situations, until their new neighbour, the beautiful and street-smart Penny moves in across the hall.
The final episode of the show will bring the curtain down on its 12th series, with the show having now produced more individual episodes than the 1980s’ classic, Cheers. It recently entered the television record books as the longest running multi-camera sitcom.
In terms of what viewers can expect in the show’s finale, producers are remaining tight-lipped, but it’s pretty safe to assume fans will be taken on an emotional rollercoaster as the iconic comedy bows out.
The Big Bang Theory finale airs on Thursday May 16.
