We finally have a release date for the last-ever Jessica Jones season on Netflix
The trailer for the final series for the new Jessica Jones season really pushes the limits of the word ‘teaser’. “Blink and you’ll miss it” is usually just an expression, but with 14 seconds of actual footage in this before it spends another 20 pointing to other Netflix shows, it comes perilously clue to being literal.
Still, there are some nuggets to be gleaned out of those 14 seconds, not least the release date: the much-anticipated final season will arrive on June 14.
From the somewhat creepy voiceover, it seems that someone has it in for Miss Jones. “You are a fraud. You are a cheater. No longer,” it says, which could be dismissed as the kind of self-critical internal monologue we all have if it weren’t punctuated by a sharp knock at Jones’ door.
Judging from Jones’ slightly anxious reaction, we can assume it’s not a slightly delayed Deliveroo order. In fact, if you slow it down enough, you get a glimpse of who it probably is:
Yeah. Best not to answer.
The official plot description has a bit more to it: “When Jessica (Krysten Ritter) crosses paths with a highly intelligent psychopath, she and Trish (Rachael Taylor) must repair their fractured relationship and team up to take him down,” it reads. “But a devastating loss reveals their conflicting ideas of heroism and sets them on a collision course that will forever change them both.”
The final season will arrive on Friday June 14, so in the meantime, check out our top picks you can watch on Netflix and more right here.
