We finally get a first look at Square Enix’s Marvel’s Avengers game
We finally got a sneak peek at Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal's new Marvel’s Avengers, and it features the original team including Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor.
Check it out for yourself:
The story follows the team at A-Day, unveiling a high-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco - including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. Experimental? It already sounds like trouble.
“The celebration turns deadly when a catastrophic accident results in massive devastation. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, with all super heroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble Earth’s Mightiest Heroes." We’re intrigued.
Bill Rosemann, Marvel Games vice president and creative director said: “This is a story about self-acceptance in the face of adversity. It's about embracing our individual powers and learning that together, we are mighty."
It’s all four-player co-op, meaning you can bring your pals together and pick your favourite hero to beat up some bad guys. We’re not sure who the big bad guy is just yet, but we may know a little closer to its release date in May 2020.
Marvel's Avengers will launch on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia.
Speaking of all things games, you’ll definitely want to sign up for Shortlist Dubai’s special Fifa Festival. Why? There’s free drinks for gents and a huge PS4 Fifa Tournament offering a cash prize of AED2,500 and more. Get registered.
