Whatever you may think about 2019’s The Lion King, you can’t question the quality of its songs. In fact, Spotify listeners are most certainly feeling the love post-movie premiere.

The music streaming giant has released stats on the official soundtrack of the film, and it's seen a 50 percent increase in terms of listeners on both the 2019 and original soundtracks.

Some of the top tracks from the 2019 movie include Can You Feel the Love Tonight, Circle of Life/Nants' Ingonyama, Hakuna Matata, I Just Can't Wait to Be King and The Lion Sleeps Tonight.

It’s a little different from the original soundtrack, where the most streamed track is I Just Can't Wait to Be King.

Who exactly is listening to The Lion King soundtracks, new and old? Well, those streaming the new soundtrack the most are aged between 25 and 29, accounting for more than 30 percent of streams. So, those looking for a sense of nostalgia.

By contrast, it's those aged between 18 and 24 who are listening to the 1994 soundtrack the most, accounting for about 28 percent of its listeners.
