Mindhunter Season 2 trailer is as creepy as you’d expect

Mindhunter fans, your excruciating wait is nearly over. Netflix has just dropped the trailer for the second season of the show, and your two-year wait will end on Friday August 16.

This crime thriller was a hit when it launched on Netflix back in 2017, and it's back for another season. Based on true crime book Mindhunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker, this series documents the work of FBI agents Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) Bill Tench (Holt McCallany), and psychologist Wendy Carr (Anna Torv), who head the FBI's Behavioral Science Unit.

To help solve open cases, the team decide to interview imprisoned serial killers, in order to – as the name suggests – get inside their minds. Intriguing, right? The new season revolves around the real-life Atlanta murders of 1979-81, which are still under investigation today.

From the trailer above it looks like Ford, Tench and Carr are bringing out the big guns for psychological analysis with glimpses of David Berkowitz , Dennis Rader and Charles Manson.

Basically, lovers of true crime will snap this up.

In the meantime though, check out what we’re watching and playing this week. It’s good stuff, we promise.
