Two YouTube platforms now available in Dubai
YouTube Music, a new music streaming application, and YouTube Premium, a paid subscription which provides an ad-free experience, are now available in the United Arab Emirates.
YouTube announced on Tuesday night that customers across the UAE can now stream both platforms, giving them the opportunity to take advantage of a fantastic selection of music and ad-free viewing, plus much more.
YouTube Music allows customers to discover an in-depth musical catalogue and find specific songs simply by entering a few lyrics. And if you’re a paid member, the Offline Mixtape enables you to download up to 100 songs onto your mobile device.
T.Jay Fowler, Director of Product Management, Music Products, at YouTube said: “We’re proud that the Middle East’s rich musical heritage has a home on YouTube and we’re excited about bringing it closer to our users with YouTube Music.
“We built YouTube Music to help people find and enjoy the music they love whether it's through official releases or iconic music videos, bringing artists closer to their fans. YouTube Music will help people expand their musical world and tastes because it’s a smart service that also helps you discover new music and artists they are sure to love.”
YouTube Premium, meanwhile, boasts four key features. As well as ad-free viewing, offline access allows you to download any video to watch whenever you choose, while you will also receive a subscription to YouTube Music. Lastly, Background Play means audio will continue to play even if you exit the app.
YouTube Music subscriptions start at AED19.99, with YouTube Premium starting from AED23.99.
