Netflix is coming to the UAE
If you haven't used Netflix before, the chances are that you've heard about it. The streaming site is packed full of famous box sets and movies, making it famous around the globe.
But we’ve got some good news – Netflix may soon be available in the UAE and across the Middle East.
Although there has been no official word from Netflix, www.digitalproductionme.com say that we will have access to our favourite stock of blockbusters by the end of the year. Rumours were initially sparked with job postings for Netflix in the region, with positions including social media manager, analysis manager, and senior manager.
Head of Communications at Netflix for Europe, Middle East and Africa Joris Evers said: “We plan to complete our global expansion by the end of 2016. Of course the Middle East is part of that, hence our hiring.”
It's not clear yet whether more jobs will become available in the region, but the current jobs posted appear to be based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Applicants must be fluent in English and Arabic. Keep an eye out for more at https://jobs.netflix.com/jobs.
If Netflix does open its doors in the UAE (and all reports suggest that it will) we could be settling down to binge watch box sets such as House of Cards and Sons of Anarchy by the time the year is out. We don’t know about you, but we’re extremely excited about this.
