Abu Dhabi is becoming a bit of a Hollywood favourite, and the latest movie filmed in the UAE’s capital is set to be released soon. The second teaser for Brad Pitt’s new film War Machine has recently dropped on YouTube, and we get a brief preview of the Abu Dhabi scenes.

Producers picked Abu Dhabi as the perfect Afghanistan desert set, although it’s not yet clear how much of the movie was filmed in the UAE’s capital.

The movie is based on the 2012 book The Operators, a non-fiction book based on General Stanley McChrystal, the commanding general of international and U.S forces in Afghanistan, was known as a “rock star”  who liked to party with his staff. The story continues with a first-hand account of the war, from patrols to ridiculous lad banter and depravity.

War Machines will be released on Netflix on May 26, 2017.
