90-day Visit Visa Now Available For Dubai Residents’ Family And Friends

It is now possible for Dubai residents to sponsor their friends or relatives for a 3-month visit visa, according to reports from locals and travel agencies. A refundable $1,000 deposit from the host is needed as part of the application process.

According to a travel agent cited in the report, individuals who wish to obtain a 90-day visit visa for their friends or family in Dubai can apply for it online through the GDRFA website, mobile application, or an Amer typing centre.

These adjustments are made as part of the UAE Federal Authority for Identification, Customs, and Port Security’s efforts to improve their smart services system and satisfy their customers’ changing needs. In keeping with their strategy to get ready for the future, the authorities this week revealed 15 additional upgrades to their services system.

Visitors who overstay their visas may be subject to fines, absconding charges, and government blacklisting, among other penalties. Penalties for overstaying can start at AED 5,000 and vary depending on the emirate.

It is important to note that tourists who overstay their visas in Dubai are granted a grace period of 10 days after their visa has expired, during which they are expected to exit the country.

The visitor must make sure they leave from Dubai and not any other emirate within this grace time. Failure to comply with these regulations could result in further penalties and consequences.

The UAE made a number of significant adjustments to its visa policy, including the following

Group Family Visas: The United Arab Emirates has offered group family visas for travel, medical care, and patient companionship. These visas are available for single and multiple entries for durations of 60 days and 180 days. This change allows families to travel together and experience the UAE’s various attractions.

Exemption of Citizens with Determination: People of determination citizens are now exempt from the fingerprinting requirement when applying for passport issuance, renewal, or replacement. This exemption aims to improve accessibility and convenience for people with disabilities.

Extension of Visa Services: One-time holders of 90-day visas can now receive a 30-day extension through the visa extension program. Yet, it is currently against the law to extend resident visas that are valid for more than six months. The goal of this change is to control the country’s foreign population.

Services for cancellation and amendment: The updated smart services system also provides cancellation and amendment services for visa data in the accounts of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) citizens without Emirates ID. This change aims to facilitate the visa process for GCC citizens.

Visa extension for a visit: Last but not least, the UAE has increased the visit visa for a relative or friend for a duration of 30, 60, and 90 days in their accounts. This modification attempts to promote travel and urge friends and family to visit.

Users must sign in with their UAE Pass digital identification, choose “Start a new service,” and then click “New Visa” to see a list of visa options for various travels, depending on the length of the visa that they want (30 days, 60 days, or 90 days).

ICP has stated that once a user chooses the service of obtaining a visitor visa through the app for a relative or friend, all the relevant information about the person serving as the host in the nation will be displayed automatically.

The user only needs to follow the on-screen instructions to finish the application, enter the visitor’s identification information, attach the necessary documents, and pay the required fees.

The goal of this procedure is to make applying for visas for UAE citizens and visitors easier and faster.
