Air Canada has announced new flight schedules, which provide a direct flight between Vancouver and Dubai. This new route plan starts on October 28th this year with comfortable schedules for travelers. There will be flights available 4 times a week. This flight has its specialty of being the only non-stop service from Western Canada to any destination in the Middle East.
These direct flights will be operated with the Boeing 787 Dreamliner Aircraft. Scheduled as Flight AC078, this new flight route will be Air Canada’s longest flight covering over 11,667 kilometers, with an average flight time of around 15 hours. The plane accommodates 298 seats which include 30 business class seats, 21 premium economy class seats, and 247 economy seats.
Seats are now available for booking at aircanada.com, via the Air Canada App, Air Canada’s contact centers, and travel agents.
The Codeshare agreement signed between the two airlines results in the expansion
Air Canada’s latest addition of a non-stop flight route is a result of an agreement that happened last week between UAE and Canada with their main agenda being, to enhance the bilateral services. And this agreement set the new Etihad services to Canada in motion.
The official announcement has been made that from the date of May 30, there will be daily flights from Abu Dhabi to Toronto, as there is an increase in the travel demands between the two destinations.
Mark Galarado, senior vice president of network planning and revenue management at Air Canada expressed their happiness in adding the only non-stop service connecting Vancouver and Dubai.
He remarked Dubai is one of the top tourist destinations in the world renowned for its extremely rich culture, heritage, and entertainment, and Vancouver is a top cosmopolitan destination. Galarado states how the new route will offer ease to global visitors looking to experience British Columbia’s amazing natural beauty, range of outdoor activities, and all the adventure one would have there. ‘
Mark Galarado added that in cooperation with their codeshare and frequent flying partners, Emirates, their Vancouver-Dubai flight service will be connecting a wide range of destinations across the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent, and East Africa in Dubai, providing the clientele with choice and convenience while traveling for business or visiting near and dear ones.

Since last year there have been various agreements signed between both nations related to their flight services and gaining access to a lot of new destinations across the countries. In 2022, both airlines established a codeshare agreement.
Simply known as codeshare, It is an agreement between two or more airlines where they broadcast and market the same flight under the banner of their own airline designator and flight number as part of their schedule.
As a result of the codeshare agreement, the airlines are now covering 46 destinations across North America, Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
