There’s good news in store for mobile customers subscribed to Etisalat. The company have just announced over 250 public WiFi connections with high-speed internet access – the catch? You have to be signed up to an Etisalat package with at least 1GB of mobile data.

The WiFi allowance is generous but not unlimited. According to Etisalat customers will have between five and 30 hours of free high-speed internet, depending on their mobile subscription. The WiFi spots will be available at major public locations in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Northern Emirates.

Etisalat's Chief Consumer Officer, Khaled ElKhouly, said, "The UAE is the region's fastest growing hub for business. It is result of the forward thinking on the part of this country's visionary leaders. Keeping with their vision, Etisalat has laid out an excellent telecom infrastructure to enable connectivity for residents and businesses. We are taking it a step further and making free, high-speed and unlimited public WiFi a norm, helping people stay connected more than ever before.

Signing up is easy. If you’re in a public location such as a mall, airport, beach or park and you see “UAE WiFi by Etisalat” in your WiFi options, simply select it and register your details. You’ll receive a PIN number which you can use to login with your mobile number. Happy browsing.
