St Regis Dubai to open with $32,000 per night royal suite
We’ve been driving past the St Regis Dubai almost every day, and watching as the hotel nears completion. The wait is almost over as the luxury five-star hotel will open its doors on Friday in Al Habtoor City.
But being in Dubai, five-star isn’t quite good enough. Among the 234 rooms is a two-story Royal Suite, which features three bedrooms, a double staircase, and a private rooftop plunge pool and its own elevator.
The impressive Royal Suite measures a whopping 913 square-metres, and comes in at AED120,000 ($32,000) per night. Andreas Oberoi, general manager of the hotels complex, told Hotelier Middle East that the premium price is well deserved.
“I foresee that we will be very successful here. The price will be premium, as the service will be premium and the hardware will be premium,” he said. “With respect to the competition, St Regis is a brand that should have been here [in Dubai] earlier.”
St Regis Dubai will open with 500 staff from all over the world. There is an extensive range of rooms and suites, some of which come with a private ‘e-Butlers’ who you can WhatsApp your every demand. A snickers at 6am? You got it.
There are eight restaurants and bars, a rooftop pool, an 800 square metre ballroom and a luxurious Iridum Spa. Apparently all the clocks in the spa are set still at midnight to create the feeling that time is standing still.
