Dubai police announce the new addition to the department’s fleet of cars. The public will witness the brand-new Audi RS e-Tron electric car. The car’s launch occurred at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2023, hosted at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
‘Enhancing the existing security presence in the tourist spots around the city’: Al Jallaf
The Audi RS e-tron was unveiled with its Dubai Police green livery and will be used for their tourist security patrols.
Major General Jamel Salem Al Jallaf stressed that the police department of Dubai, with the guidance and supervision of Lt. General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, the Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police, is dedicated to upgrading the patrols with up-to-the-minute luxury models.
These cars will be soon spotted at the tourist attractions around the city including Jumeirah Beach Residence, Downtown, and Dubai Marina.
The car has a horsepower of 646 in addition to an 800-volt lithium-ion battery. This premium car is fully electric and offers a mileage of up to 472 km and is capable of reaching the speed of 3.3km/h. It requires only a little over 21 minutes to charge the battery from 5 percent to 80 percent.
The Audi RS e-tron will be the police department’s second completely electrically powered and environmentally – friendly car.
Brigadier Khalafan Obaid Al Jallaf, the Director of the tourist police department highlighted that this luxury security patrol improves the security presence in areas of tourists attractions during events and community initiatives and plays a pivotal role in giving services to tourists and the general public, responding to their inquiries, giving information and making sure of the safety and security through their staying period in Dubai.
This new edition also aligns with the government’s global focus on sustainability in every aspect of the day to day life as the car is an electric vehicle.
Al Jallaf also expressed that this move from the department shows that Dubai does impressionable work towards its motives and is a perfect example of modernization by upgrading to the latest and sustainable options.

The Arabian Travel Market (ATM) will be held from the 1st to the 4th of May 2023 and will provide a platform for more than 2,000 exhibitors and representatives from more than 150 countries.
