Dubai Crown Prince Unveils Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Annual Results

Dubai is emerging as a global hub for contributing to global challenges and problems. The Government of Dubai has always launched various initiatives and programs to extend a helping hand to the world’s marginalized communities.

According to recent statistics, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global initiatives spent more than Dh 1.4 billion in 2022. This amount has been spent to help around 102 million people worldwide across 100 countries.

This has been the largest humanitarian aid distributed by any country globally. The Dubai Government has exponentially increased the number of beneficiaries and the scope of its humanitarian aid to serve the community in the last year.

The Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid, announced these numbers at Dubai Opera. He chaired the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global initiatives held there.

While reviewing their annual reports, the Ruler of Dubai applauded the efforts of the UAE Government in emerging as a leader in creating a better life for millions of people across the world. All of these efforts align with the objective of the Dubai Government, which strives to uphold Emirati values.

The UAE has always promoted hope and has channelized all its efforts toward community service. These initiatives have impacted the lives of many people.

The vision of the Late Sheikh Zayed inspires the UAE. He was a legendary leader who always devoted all his efforts to alleviating the hardships of the poor and the marginalized. The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global initiative was launched to materialize the UAE’s efforts in generating compassion locally, regionally, and globally.

The initiative has been launched to implement various policies envisioned by His Highness H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the President of Dubai. All of the programs developed under the initiative are implemented through the hard work, dedication, and devotion of the thousands of volunteers and social reformers.

The Board of Trustees of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiative decides the distribution of the funds for various activities across various regions. The UAE Government has improved the quality of education, healthcare, employment opportunities, and consumables in the underprivileged regions of the world. 

The Ruler of Dubai has also launched the One Billion Meals Endowment campaign during the Holy month of Ramadan under the aegis of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global initiatives. His program aims to raise funds to help offer sustainable and long terms solutions for helping needy people. The Government is delivering food parcels to the local and neighboring regions to provide a balanced meal to the malnourished people in the country.

In addition, the Government is also contributing small amounts towards the endowments scheme, which will generate returns shortly. According to the statistics, the Government has already received Dh 514 million as donations in this endowment scheme.
