This new feature of the Dubai International Airport will offer children an opportunity to stamp their passports through special check-in areas dedicated to children. This will provide a thrilling novel experience for family travellers.

The authorities of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigner Affairs said that the counters have decided to surprise the young travellers on special days. During the time of special occasions and events, the young travellers will be welcomed by two mascots named ‘Salem and Salama’, dressed in the uniform of the GDRFA employees of Dubai.

The GDRFA authorities further added that these mascots, Salem and Salama were developed as a means to establish a connection with the travellers. As these mascots would bring excitement and joy to the young passengers when they arrive in the city, they said.

Apart from this new feature aimed at children the Airport of Dubai provides other activity areas like videogames, toys, and bounces for children. This will help the family passengers to keep their children away from the boredom of sitting simply in an adult world while travelling.

Children can enjoy the toys, and games and even jump at the bounce areas while their parents take a rest at the lounges. Besides, it has many other activities like storybooks, puzzles and even corners like Candy DXB and Nutella Corner to keep them happy and entertained.
