Dubai’s Emirates Airlines Flies Through Heart-Shaped Balloons For Valentine’s Day

Dubai’s flagship carrier Emirates, known for the best-in-class travel experience and out-of-the-box marketing materials has come around this time for Valentine’s day with a special video for all their fans, and well, the love birds.

In the latest video shared on Instagram, Emirates collaborated with Mostafa Eldiasty, aka 100.Pixels, to celebrate Valentine’s day 2023. Eldiasty is a creative director and a VFX artist who digitally created the video that Emirates shared on Instagram, which has got over 100K likes and about 900 comments since being posted.

Stunning Valentine’s Day Video from Emirates Looks too Real

The video is created in such a way that it appears to be from the perspective of a passenger that looks out of an airplane window to see an Emirates Airbus A380 aircraft flying above beautiful mountain ranges with heart-shaped balloons floating through the sky. The video was captioned “The skies are filled with our love of flying. Happy Valentine’s Day from all of us at Emirates.”.

Stunning Valentine’s Day Video from Emirates Looks too Real

This is not the first time that Emirates has collaborated with Eldiasty. Back in December, a Christmas-themed video created by Eldiasty was officially shared by Emirates on their Instagram page.

The video, captioned “Captain Claus, requesting permission for take-off. Merry Christmas from Emirates”, gained about two million likes and over 18,000 comments on Instagram since posted, shows an Emirates Airbus A380 aircraft being pulled by reindeer across the runway at the Dubai International Airport, resembling Santa’s sleigh.

Eldiasty is well-known for his collaborations with brands to create content that is unique and creative. His Instagram profile features several other digitally created videos showcasing his skills as a VFX artist, which is often liked by people such as His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai.

Mostafa Eldiasty’s Instagram profile, which goes by the username “@100.pixels”, has over 190,000 followers currently. Speaking about his achievements, Elidasty said “Social media have become quite powerful within the last two years, but I never imagined my work to become this popular and reach thus far. I am very thankful and also definitely quite proud of my work.”

Dubai, being the top tourist and leisure destination of the world, has several special attractions and events specially designed around Valentine’s Day 2023, wherein lots of people from all around the world would fly into Dubai to enjoy the day with their loved ones.

The “Love Lake” located in the Al Qudra desert in Dubai is among the popular destinations for lovebirds in the emirate. As the name suggests, Love Lake is a heart-shaped lake that looks like two hearts tied with each other when seen from above. Visitors come in to admire the beauty of the lake and has also become a popular spot for photography enthusiasts. United States Army Colonel and NASA astronaut Shane Kimbrough shared a picture of Love Lake in Dubai on Valentine’s Day, showcasing the beautiful lake as seen from the International Space Station.

Showcasing the extravagance of Dubai, several hotels and restaurants had also introduced special Valentine’s Day packages. 

Notable among them was the AED50,000 worth of Valentine’s Day package introduced by Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah. The experience was set up in collaboration with flowers. ae, a website that specializes in luxury flower gifts that are delivered across the UAE. The AED50,000 price was charged per couple for a single day and included a one-night stay in the presidential suite inside the Hilton Palm hotel.

The suite comes with its own private whirlpool, stunning skyline views, a sun deck, and also a dance floor. As part of the experience, over 5,000 red roses were specially imported from Europe, as well as lots of red heart-shaped balloons, and a specially made cake, all from flowers. ae would be arranged throughout the suite. According to a post on the official Instagram handle of Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah, the experience allowed couples to “Celebrate special moments in luxurious style with a stay at the presidential suite at the hotel.”

Guests who wished to avail the Valentine’s Day experience from Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah had to book the deal at least 10 days in advance for the necessary arrangements to be made.

Also, Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites had set up a romantic experience for the 14th of February, wherein couples could enjoy a 3-course luxurious dinner overlooking the stunning views of the Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Marina.

Not to leave the singles alone, the hotel also had set up an “Anti-Valentine/Friend-Zone” experience, wherein single people could enjoy a buy-one-get-one-free offer on select beverages.

There was also a live concert by the popular Lebanese pop star Maya Diab set to happen at the Rixos Premium JBR on Valentine’s Day. However, the concert was later postponed due to the massive earthquake that hit Syria and Turkey, which left over 40,000 people killed and millions affected.
