Dubai’s Emirates Launches New Check-in Facility At DIFC

The Emirates of Dubai is all set to launch its new facility, a Travel Store and a City Check-in at the financial district of Dubai, the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). Emirates has always surprised passengers with its world-class services and this new feature will allow travellers to book their travel according to their convenience, check in early for flights, drop off their luggage and have a shopping experience.

DIFC is located at the ICD Brookfield Place and will be open to visitors from April 27 onwards

Being the busy financial district of Dubai, the City Check-in and Travel Store located at the DIFC will offer a prime location for busy professionals and allows the passengers to drop their luggage hours before the flight. This initiative forms part of the continuous efforts and dedication of Emirates to improve customer experience.

DIFC is located at the ICD Brookfield Place and will be open to visitors from April 27 onwards

This facility enables the passengers to drop off their luggage almost 4 to 24 hours prior to the take-off of the flight, thus reducing the burden of the airport experience. Travellers can check in for their journey at any time from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day.

Passengers can either check in with the help of the self-check-in kiosks, at special desks with Emirates agents or with the assistance of Sara, the world’s first check-in robot assistant. Sara is a portable robotic check-in device, it can identify people based on their scanned passports, can check in the passengers and can direct them towards the luggage dropping area.

The City Check-in and Travel Store offer spacious and modern space with a striking 2.5 metre LCD screen that displays the most recent destination content from Emirates and some additional panels that displays an interactive touchscreen map.

The space allows the travellers to book their tickets, browse the travel merchandise, drop luggage and check in.

To provide a tension-free and elevated check-in experience it offers self-parking and paid valet parking to Emirates passengers.

Travellers can seek professional advice from experts on offers available at top destinations. They can also make use of dedicated travel consultants to purchase tickets for future journeys, manage bookings for the current journey, acquire upgrades, choose comfortable seats and organise the extra baggage if necessary.

The passengers of Emirates who possess a valid boarding pass can get complimentary access to some of the lifestyle amenities at the ICD Brookfield Place if they wish to explore the area or take a rest before their flight.
