Road and Transport Authority (RTA) of the Emirate of Dubai has announced the operating timings of all the services the institution provides during the Eid Al Fitr holiday, which is set to commence on 1444 AH 29th Ramadan to 3rd Shawaal according to the Islamic calendar, or starting from around 20th April Thursday to around 23rd April, Sunday.
The services will resume on the 4th of Shawwal. The timings and scheduled services given by the RTA include Customer Happiness Centres, paid parking zones, Marine transit services, and public transportation means such as buses, Dubai Metro, and Tram announced.
RTA has notified about the free parking services and public transport service timings
RTA has declared that the public parking facilities will be free to use during the Eid Al Fitr holiday. But this free parking will not apply to multi-level parking terminals. This facility will be available for the public on Thursday 20th and will be deemed free till the 3rd of Shawwal.
The fees will be applicable as usual from the 4th of Shawwal. However, The duration of the period is solely dependent on the moon sighting. Only after that, we can be sure whether the free parking will last for four or five days.
On the 22nd of April, Thursday, the moon sighting committee of the United Arab Emirates will ascertain whether Eid will fall on Friday, the 21st of April, or on Saturday the 21st of April.
If Eid is to commence on Friday, then the parking will be free of cost from Thursday through Sunday. Otherwise, free parking applies from Thursday to Monday.
From the 1st to the 2nd Shawaal, The Vehicle Testing Services for technical inspection will be remaining closed. The official working hours will restart on the 3rd of Shawwal. But the Customer Service Counters at the Vehicle Testing Centers shall remain closed during the Eid Al Fitr holiday, from the 29th of Ramadan to the 3rd of Shawwal.
The services will work as usual from the 4th of Shawwal 1444 AH. The Smart Customer Happiness Centres will not be closed and will function as usual in Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Manara, and Al Kifaf centers.
Customer Happiness Centers will not be functioning, from the 29th of Ramadan until the 3rd of Shawwal. The centers will function as usual from the 4th of Shawwal onwards.

Metro Red and Green Line stations will be operating from Thursday through Saturday, 5 AM to 1 AM; and on Sunday from 8 AM to 1 AM. The Dubai Tram will be functioning from Thursday to Saturday from 6 AM to 1 AM. On Sunday, the trams will be operating from 9 AM to 1 AM. The schedule for public bus stations across Dubai will be from 6 AM to 1 AM. Metro Feeder bus stations will be adjusted with the schedule according to the first and last Metro journeys.
The Inter-City bus routes that are presently functioning include: (E16) from Al Sabkha to Hatta, (E100) from Al Ghubaiba to Abu Dhabi, (E101) from Ibn Battuta to Abu Dhabi, (E102) from Ibn Battuta to Mussafah, (E201) from Al Ghubaiba To Al Ain, (E303) from the Union Station to Al Jubail in Sharjah, (E306) from Al Ghubaiba to Al Jubail in Sharjah, (E307) from City Center Deira to Al Jubail in Sharjah, (E307A) from Abu Hail to Al Jubail in Sharjah, (E315) from Etisalat station to Muwaileh in Sharjah, (E400) from the Union station to Ajman, (E411) from the Etisalat station to Ajman and (E700) from the Union Station to Fujairah.
