Emirates And United Activate Codeshare Partnership

On March 30, 2023, Emirates and United activated their codeshare partnership, which will enable Emirates passengers to enjoy seamless travel to a wider range of U.S. destinations.

As of today, Emirates customers can travel to three major U.S. business hubs, namely Chicago, Houston, or San Francisco, and effortlessly connect to a vast network of domestic U.S. destinations on United-operated flights.

Tickets can be purchased starting today on emirates.com and through travel agencies. This partnership launch means that Emirates travelers heading to the U.S. will now have access to over 150 U.S. cities in the United network through the three gateway cities.

Likewise, this collaboration has broadened the world for American travelers who venture beyond Dubai to Emirates’ extensive network, which includes numerous unique destinations across the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, and the Indian subcontinent.

Customers in the United States who want to travel to Dubai or elsewhere now have a variety of options and can use United’s services to connect to Emirates-operated flights bound for Dubai via Chicago, Houston, or San Francisco.

Passengers on these flights will have access to Emirates’ award-winning services as well as the agreement’s various convenient travel benefits.

Travelers who book codeshare flights with Emirates Airlines can now plan their full trip on a single ticket and take benefit of the airline’s baggage allowance as well as easy and smooth baggage check-through to their final destination.

Besides that, Emirates Skywards members can now earn and redeem miles on all United flights worldwide.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Chief Commercial Officer, expressed his excitement at the launch of this ground-breaking partnership with United, which considerably expands Emirates’ presence in the United States.

He said that United’s extensive network throughout the Americas will enable Emirates to provide more options to its global customer base and meet demand from various segments, including leisure, VFR, corporate travelers, and students, who will be able to connect flawlessly to and from an extensive network of over 150 domestic points.

Emirates and United have established an interline agreement that widens the range of destinations accessible to passengers traveling to the Americas beyond the United States.

Emirates customers can now choose from dozens of additional destinations in Mexico, Canada the Caribbean, and Central and South America because of this collaboration. They can also benefit from the convenience of having a single ticket for their entire itinerary and smooth connections through three hubs: Chicago, Houston, and San Francisco.

At present, Emirates operates services between its Dubai hub and 12 cities in the United States, as well as five locations in  Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina.

Besides that, under this partnership, Emirates Skywards members can earn miles while traveling on flights across United Airlines’ global network, both internationally and domestically.

MileagePlus members can also earn miles on select flights within the Emirates network when traveling from Newark (EWR) to Dubai (DXB) on United Airlines and then onwards to select Emirates-operated destinations.
