Emirates To Launch First A380 Service To Bali, Indonesia In June 2023

Emirates will begin operating its signature A380 aircraft to Bali on June 1, 2023, becoming the country’s first scheduled A380 service. A brand-new service is all set to replace one of the existing two daily flights to Bali that are currently being operated by a two-class Boeing 777-300ER.

The new Emirates A380 service will provide passengers with a one-of-a-kind and comfortable flying experience.

Emirates’ first A380 flight, EK368 from Dubai International Airport (DXB), will take off at 03:25 hrs and land at Denpasar International Airport (DPS) at 16:35 hrs local time.

The return flight, EK369, takes off from Bali at 19:40 hrs and arrives in Dubai at 00:45 hrs, as per the local time. Ticket purchases can be made through emirates.com, the Emirates App, Emirates sales offices, and both online and offline travel agents.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Chief Commercial Officer, expressed his enthusiasm for the introduction of the Emirates A380, the world’s biggest passenger plane, to Bali.

Kazim mentioned that Emirates has been collaborating closely with its partners at Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport to guarantee the seamless operation of the A380.

He expressed gratitude towards the authorities and partners for their support in making this venture feasible.

Bali is one of the Emirates’ most popular tourist destinations and is regarded as a strategic market in Southeast Asia. According to Kazim, the Emirates A380’s debut in Indonesia shows the airline’s long-standing commitment to Bali’s travel and tourism industry.

Emirates aims to increase inbound traffic to the island while also providing more opportunities for leisure and business travellers to connect to Dubai and beyond to cities across Europe and the Americas via its comprehensive global network.

Faik Fahmi, President Director of PT. Angkasa Pura I, expressed his excitement about the Airbus A380’s scheduled operations in Indonesia, which he believes will be a watershed moment for Indonesian aviation and Angkasa Pura I.

Fahmi expressed gratitude for being the first airport operator in the country to receive regular commercial flights of the Emirates A380, which will commence operations in early June. He warmly welcomed the aircraft’s service and conveyed his appreciation.

According to Fahmi, the achievement was the result of well-established cooperation, mutual benefits, and collaboration between the airport operator, Angkasa Pura I, Emirates, and the regulator, the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia.

He went on to say that the successful collaboration would pave the way for more collaboration and investment opportunities in other industries in Indonesia.

Fahmi has expressed his optimism about the A380 operations in Indonesia, particularly in Bali, and anticipates that it will have a positive impact on the tourism and economic sectors.

The arrival of the A380 in Bali is expected to increase tourism in the area, as well as offer a more upscale travel experience for Emirates passengers.

Emirates has been operating in Indonesia for quite some time now, commencing scheduled flights to Jakarta back in 1992. With the introduction of a non-stop daily route from Dubai to Bali in 2015, the airline has successfully operated over 49,000 flights and transported more than 9 million passengers between Indonesia and Dubai.

Emirates currently operates 28 weekly flights to both Bali and Jakarta, with the new A380 service to Bali set to replace one of the two daily Boeing 777-300ER services.

Through partnership agreements with Garuda Indonesia and Batik Air, the airline also provides increased connectivity to 29 more domestic cities, giving travellers more opportunities to explore Indonesia’s diverse destinations.

The Emirates A380 aircraft used on flights to and from Bali has 58 lie-flat seats in Business Class and 557 generously-pitched seats in Economy Class.

Passengers can expect a comfortable and spacious cabin with signature Emirates products like the Onboard Lounge, which is a popular social spot for passengers to mingle and relax in the sky. Passengers can also enjoy a variety of regional cuisine, including Indonesian dishes.
