Novak Djokovic Praises Dubai’s ‘Champion Mentality’, Calls Dubai His ‘Second Home’ 

Novak Djokovic, the world’s No 1  Serbian tennis player, has praised Dubai as his “Second home” and described its “champion mentality”, at Dubai’s Future District Fund’s (DFDF) annual general meeting yesterday. The twenty-time Grand Slam Winner recently took part in the Dubai Duty-free Tennis Championships, an annual tournament that attracts some of the biggest names in the sport.

Novak Djokovic’s comments about Dubai come as the city cemented its position as a leading global hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.

During his time in Dubai, Djokovich took the opportunity to speak to the media about his exotic experiences in Dubai city and the tournament.

Novak Djokovic had an incredible chance to chat with Becky Anderson, The Managing Editor at CNN Abu Dhabi and Anchor, at the Museum of the Future. The renowned Serbian tennis player stated that “ Dubai is a place that I keep coming back to, year after year,”

And “ It’s like my second home. I feel very comfortable here, and the people are always so welcoming. It’s a great city to be in, and I’m always happy to come back”

Djokovich’s comments are the true words of many others who have visited Dubai and been impressed by what the city has to offer to the world.

Over the past decades, Dubai has emerged as a leading global center for business, innovation, and entrepreneurship. With its strategic location with Europe, Asia, and Africa, Dubai has become a hub for trade and commerce which attracts business from all over the world. 

In recent years, Dubai has also been working hard to embark itself as a leading center for innovation and technology. With all its enormous efforts over decades, Dubai received other nations’ praises.

Novak Djokovic was particularly impressed by the “ Champion mentality” he observed in Dubai. “Dubai is a place where people have a winning mentality,” he said. And, “ I want to have Dubai as a base for my business and innovations”

Djokovich also stated, “They’re always striving to be the best and to achieve great things. That’s something that I really admire, and I think it’s one of the reasons why Dubai has become such a successful city.” 

He also believes that Dubai is the perfect choice to host such a global event. “ Dubai is a city that is always looking to the future,” he said. The world’s number one tennis player getting goosebumps about the emirate’s ‘Incredible and rapid growth’.

He also states, “It’s a place that is always pushing boundaries and striving to be the best. That’s exactly the kind of mentality you need to host an event like the World Expo.”

The World Expo is expected to attract millions of visitors from all over the world to Dubai and is seen as a major opportunity for the city to showcase its strength and wisdom as a global hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.

The event will feature and showcase all the latest innovations in the fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Renewable energy, and sustainable development.

Novak Djokovic has always been garnering media attention for his mesmerizing statements.

In a mass media interview conducted in 2022, Novak Djokovic caught the attention of the world. The world-renowned tennis personality expressed his worst childhood trauma to the world.

In that chat, Novak Djokovic recalled the horrifying memory during the war in Serbia,  “One of the most traumatic experiences and images that I had in my childhood and has stayed with me to this day”. Djovic experienced the war in Serbia in 1999, as a 12-year-old in his life in many ways.

In 2022, The tennis legend opened up on the toughest days of his life and he recollected the worst traumatic experiences.

Djokovic added that he comes from a war-torn country in the 90s. It was not easy and there was a lot of adversity in society and challenges that his family had to face to support the career of a tennis player. It has had a great influence on Djokovic’s character.

He used to wait in the long line for several hours from morning six to have a piece of bread that they would share. He added that It was hard but at the same time, he looks back and realizes that as a very important stage in his life. 

Djokovic added that when he was a child, he was totally afraid to even dream. It was only because of his sheer determination and hard work that he became a World class player. At only thirty- five years of age, his achievements and life are exemplary for the youth. Aimed only to win, Novok Djokovic has nothing but admiration for Dubai’s collective championship mentality.
