Sheikh Mohammed Meets With Secretary Of Iran's Supreme National Security Council

On March 17th, 2023, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Ruler of Dubai met with Ali Shamkhani, Secretary of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, at the Za’abeel Palace in Dubai. The meeting aimed to strengthen the two countries’ bilateral relationship and partnerships.

During the meeting, both parties discussed regional and international issues as well as new opportunities for regional cooperation.

The discussions focused on strengthening UAE-Iran cooperation and exploring ways to expand economic and trade ties. The leaders also discussed the importance of maintaining regional stability and combating extremism and terrorism.

His Excellency also attended the meeting with Dr. Anwar Gargash, the Diplomatic Advisor to the UAE President, and His Excellency Talal Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi, the Director General of Dubai’s State Security Department.
