The Global Village of Dubai has announced a new time schedule for the month of Ramadan 2023. Apart from the new time schedule, it has also announced some new events and offerings that will take place at the global village throughout the month of Ramadan.

The new timings will allow the visitors to visit and enjoy their time at Global Village during the months of Iftar and Suhoor.

The Global Village will now be open to visitors throughout the holy month of Ramadan from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. every day of the week.

Ramadan at the Global Village 

Global Village, one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Dubai, has announced its new timings for the month of Ramadan so as to enable visitors to enjoy their time in the holy month.

To make the holy month more colorful, the Global Village has added new activities and events to the program calendar.

Ramadan at the Global Village 

A stunning 30-piece Arabesque orchestra performing twice each night on the main stage will be the event’s major highlight. The violinist and the kaleidoscopic light show are two other performances that visitors can look forward to.

This season, Majlis of the World will be open again, allowing visitors to order Iftaar or Suhoor meals or bring food from any of the park’s more than 200 eateries to enjoy the beautiful environment. In addition, there will be Ramadan-themed performances by oud, qanun, harp, and cello musicians, a Tannoura dancer, and a close-up magician to amuse the audience at the majlis.

Furthermore, groups of friends and family members will have the option of renting board and card games, including jackaroo, uno, keiram, and backgammon.

As the Ramadan season is approaching, the Global Village will also undergo a Ramadan makeover with the addition of special decorations. With more than 3500 retail establishments, Global Village is the ideal location for visitors to find those unique Ramadan delicacies and décor.

Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Syria pavilions will be selling dates and sweets, which are important during Ramadan. The Egypt-Turkey and Al Sana’s pavilions will offer a variety of collections and unique items for sale as Ramadan home accessories.

Visitors to the Global Village can buy clay cooking pots from the Indian pavilion. The ability of the pots to preserve the nutritional value of the food cooked in them is popular. Those looking for spices and condiments can visit the pavilions of the UAE, Yemen, Pakistan, Kuwait, and Bahrain.

The visitors at Global Village have two ticket options. There is a ticket that is valid from Sunday through Thursday (except on public holidays) and a ticket that is valid for one visit on any day. For those who wish to buy a ticket, both in-person and digital purchases of the tickets are possible. Visitors are welcome to the Global Village until April 29, 2023.

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority of the UAE has released the new schedules for private schools in Dubai. In accordance with the regulations, private schools in Dubai will continue to have five-hour workdays throughout the holy month of Ramadan.

The schools can choose a convenient schedule from the two options provided by the KHDA. Schools are instructed to end classes by 12 p.m. on Fridays, allowing students to attend Friday prayers. 

A new circular on the working hours of federal employees has been published by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR).

From Monday through Tuesday, the official working hours were changed to 9 a.m. to 2.30 p.m., and on Fridays, they were modified to 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., enabling the employees to engage in their religious practices.

The UAE government also arranges iftar for those workers who are unable to go home. Besides, the UAE hosts numerous social and cultural events throughout the holy month of Ramadan to celebrate the festival of charity and togetherness.
