UAE: 3-day Weekend For Government Workers During Ramadan

The Amiri Diwan in Umm Al Quwain, the governing body responsible for managing the affairs of the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain, has issued a circular to announce the new work week and timings for government employees in the emirate during the holy month of Ramadan.

According to the circular, all local government entities in Umm Al Quwain will have official workdays from Monday to Thursday during Ramadan, with weekends from Friday to Sunday. This effectively gives government employees a three-day weekend for the entire month of Ramadan.
