UAE And WEF Sign International Cooperative Forum During Davos

The Government of UAE signed an agreement with the World Economic Forum (WEF), on the second day of Davos, to support the billion of the wide world in developing their skills. The UAE Government declared complete support for the agreement to raise people across the world to build their skills by promising several job vacancies, education, and other opportunities for the public within the year 2030. 

About The Agreement

The cooperative agreement was signed with WEF in the presence of the authorized officials of the UAE Government including His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan who is the Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office; His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, who is the Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group; and, Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, who is the Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future. Also, several other delegated personalities attended the signing event which was mainly done for the upliftment of the people of all countries around the world.

About The Agreement

The signing of the partnership agreement was done in the VVIP meeting between Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, and Professor Klaus Schwab who is the Founder and President of WEF, in Davos, Switzerland during the World Economic Forum annual meeting. 

The meeting was also attended by the delegated persons like Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi who is the Minister of State for Foreign Trade; Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa Al Hammadi who is the Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development; Majid Al Suwaidi who is the Director General of COP28; Abdulla Nasser Lootah who is the Director General of the Prime Minister’s Office at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs; and Mona Ghanem Al Marri who is the Vice-President of the UAE Gender Balance Council.

The Minister of the Cabinet, Mohammed Al Gergawi declared the agreement as a reliable one that brings a drastic improvement in the skill and standard of the world both regionally and internationally. Mohammed Al Gergawi expressed his feelings about getting a chance to be a part of such respectful events and also added that it would definitely enhance the ability of the current and future generations. Mohammed Al Gergawi also says he feels honored to witness the event and this agreement is going to strengthen the position of the UAE at both regional and global levels by offering innovative education practices.

The words of the Founder and President of WEF Professor Klaus Schwab were that the UAE is always providing an upper arm in supporting the WEF Organization at each step. Professor also added they are proud to work in partnership with the United Arab Emirates and are waiting for the transformation that the world is going to witness in the next ten years. Klaus also indicated that the annual meeting of the Global Future Councils 2023 is about to conduct on the 16th and 17th of October 2023, in Dubai.

The grant cooperative agreement was signed with the World Economic Forum by the Ministry of Economy of the UAE and The Department of Economic Development of Abu Dhabi and the agreement was based on the project of trade technology deployment.

Role of the UAE in the signed partnership agreement

The United Arab Emirates is always on the frontline to support other counties in attaining strategic goals. The United States and Denmark are the countries that receive a lot of support from the UAE. Besides this, there are many companies and organizations which obtained support and benefits from the UAE Government. 

The Minister of State for Higher Education and Advanced Skills, Dr. Ahmad bin Abdullah Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi, signed the agreement in which the UAE is the main partner of the program which along with improving the skill of the people will also raise the quality of living of the people.

Dr. Al Falasi conveys his gladness on signing the agreement and his words are that he is happy to be a part of this proposal which functions for the upliftment of the people by spreading light through education and educational practices in turn creating an adequate environment for them to live a better life. He also says through this proposal they are aiming to bring global development by investing the manpower which is capable of making the impossible possible.

Huda Al Hashmi, the Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Affairs also participated in the agreement signing event conducted in the Davos and also conducted a meeting of the Metaverse Governance Steering Committee which discussed the strategies to define and build the Metaverse Initiative and the Global Collaboration Village. All the members of the meeting were given a brief knowledge about the Global Collaboration Village and other essential details of the Global Collaboration Village.
