Dubai is currently organizing the biggest edition of the NAS Sports Tournament which is an annual flagship sports event organized during the Holy month of Ramadan at the iconic Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex. The objective behind such an event is to encourage sporting activities in Dubai and elevate Dubai’s position as a global hub for sports and fitness.
Under the aegis of the NAS Tournament, an additional NAS International Padel Championship is also being organized. Dubai has delivered an outstanding performance in the championship by defeating Qatar by 2 goals. Dubai has managed to create history in the inaugural edition of the Championship.
The NAS Sports Tournament has been organized under the aegis of the Dubai Sports Council. The theme of this year is ‘Limitless Abilities’. This is technically the biggest event in Dubai both in terms of participation and prize money. Dubai is hosting this championship for the 11th time and this is a huge accomplishment for Dubai in itself.
The event is likely to witness participation from various neighboring countries such as Israel, Iran, Iraq, Bahrain, and other Middle Eastern Counterparts. The winner is expected to bag a total prize of AED 4 million. This is definitely one of the most prestigious events in Dubai so far.
The UAE Team has been praised by His Highness Sheikh Saeed Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum
His Highness Sheikh Saeed Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum who is the President of the UAE Padel Association and the Honorary President of the Arab Padel Federation gave awards to the winners of the Tournament in front of famous guests and dignitaries like Saeed Hareb, Khalifa Khouri, and Hassan Al Mazrouei.
The winners want to thank His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, for his support of sports in Dubai by presenting him with the Nad Al Sheba International Padel Championship trophy. This event was launched by the Ruler of Dubai to develop Dubai as a global sports center. This event has not only gained popularity across the UAE but throughout the world.
Dubai has gone a long way from sports to padel sports and nothing could have been possible without the unconditional and unwavering support of the leaders of Dubai. The first edition of the Nad Al Sheba International Padel Championship was very successful and has raised the level of competition already.
The Dubai Sports Council played an active role to conduct this event successfully. The focus of the Government is to develop the national teams and encourage new players to come forward and display their talent for representing Dubai at national and international frontiers. The recent victory of the Dubai national team has proved the commitment of the country to developing sports in the country. The Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council expressed at the event that Dubai will continue to achieve more good results in the future.
This is the second title won by the UAE team at the Tournament so far. It was last month that they also emerged as the winners of the GCC Cup after defeating Qatar. In addition to winning the Nad Al Sheba International Padel Championship Title, the UAE Team has also won the tennis championship at the Tournament.
The Nad Al Sheba International Padel Championship was fought among nine teams from Egypt, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Japan. The members of the team have been praised a lot by the leaders in Dubai for their amazing performance. The team started their match with a lot of enthusiasm and vigor. The first match was kicked off by Emperor and Al Jawerah. They scored a total of 16 points in the first round itself.

The subsequent matches were represented by Zabeel who defeated Japan in order to raise the number of points to 24. The final match was against Qatar and the UAE team managed to defeat them by 2-0. This was definitely a close escape according to one of the players.
Most of the matches of the NAS Sports Tournament have already been concluded and the UAE team has managed to win two of them. The tournament is likely to conclude during the last week of Ramadan.
The final match for Volleyball will be held on 10th April 2023. This sports event was a major success this year. People from different parts of the world came here to witness the grand sporting event. The Dubai Sports Council has assured to come up with new sports events every month for the promotion of sports tourism in the country. The winners have been awarded many honors and privileges this time.
