Unit 3 Of UAE’s Nuclear Power Plant Announces Commercial Operations

According to Nasser Al Nasseri, CEO of Barakah One Company, which is responsible for representing the financial and commercial interests of the Barakah Plant project, the commercial operations of Unit 3 mark a significant milestone in the project’s delivery.

Al Nasseri reaffirmed the company’s commitment to generating clean electricity for the Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC) in accordance with the Power Purchase Agreement signed in 2016.

The sale of clean electricity will help to support Abu Dhabi’s Clean Energy Certification program by providing more opportunities for businesses to demonstrate their commitment to sustainability, gain a competitive advantage, and stimulate the growth of the Net Zero economy.

Chief Executive Nawah Ali Al Hammadi stated, the start of commercial operations for Unit 3 is a significant milestone for the company.
