6 great rooftop bars to visit in Dubai

Published

on

1. Iris
Be warned: the entrance to this spot is not a straightforward one. You need to make your way through the maze-like basement parking before the elevator takes you to the 27th floor. Once there, you can enjoy uninterrupted views of Business Bay along with creative beverages paired with delish nibbles. Our vote from the food menu goes to the Iris tray – mini burgers, tuna tacos, rice paper rolls and chicken with shrimp wontons – that’s perfect for two. That’s date night sorted then.

2. 40 Kong
As its name suggests, this gem sits on the 40th floor of The H Hotel and wows its guests with its glass walls that offer panoramic views of the city. The low seating makes it the ideal place to unwind after a long day at work. With the right beats, mouthwatering beverages and a menu to match (the veal Milanese is a must), this place won’t let you down.

3. Pure Sky Lounge
The beauty of this place is the terrace that overlooks the Arabian Gulf. The views of JBR and Palm Jumeirah aren’t bad either. When you combine the views with the venue’s seamless services, hearty dishes and oversized beverages, you really have all the ingredients required to make a picture perfect day out.

4. Cielo
The sleek décor, skilled bartenders and weekly DJ acts make the venue’s uninterrupted views of the city’s skyline that much better. Although brief, the food menu is worth a try as are the many mixes and blends available. The shisha isn’t bad either.

5. Uptown Bar
Located on the 24th floor of the wave-shaped Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Uptown Bar is perfect for those looking to unwind in utmost style and comfort. Its spacious terrace is where you’d want to be seen holding a glass of vintage grape or designer blend while appreciating the views of Burj Al Arab. If there’s something you’re going to love as much as the views, it’s the attentive staff and seriously good food.

6. Siddharta Lounge
The brainchild of the guys behind the Buddha Bar brand, Siddharta lounge offers indoor and outdoor seating with the latter being the go to spot now that the weather is better. From sofas by the pool to cushions on the steps or smaller scattered tables around the terrace, you can choose one that suits you best. Once seated, revel in the views of Dubai Marina, Palm Jumeirah and the Arabian Gulf while the DJ plays some head-bobbing Balearic beats. The extensive food menu is worth a mention too – the tiger prawns and crispy chili chicken are our favourite.
