17 new (or improved) Dubai brunches
By now we have already mulled over the tenuous link between brunch in the true original sense of the word – waffles and coffee served late morning after a weekend lie-in – and the UAE interpretation, which now seems to straddle all mealtimes including midnight snacking. That’s the thing: in Dubai especially, brunch is closer to sunset than sunrise, and we’d advise not following this type of midday meal with a stroll around a flea market or your weekly shop.
And if you already thought there were enough brunches for you to visit without any repeats, we’ve got a few more to add to that list. Maybe, just maybe, it’s time to consider embracing the art of the double-brunch…
Brunch’d
Indie’s new evening brunch is “Inspired by police squads”… huh? Yep, brunch is served to the sound of sirens and you risk being arrested with every forkful. The evening’s entertainment includes a live show behind caution tapes, CO2 guns, traffic cones, and “lots of hands being cuffed”, apparently. Billed as “Dubai’s newest party brunch”, we’re wondering where they’ve been partying… Answers on a postcard. Or witness statement?
