3 restaurants in Dubai to visit this week
This is a firm favourite of ours and always worth the wait for a seat. That wait is likely to get longer now Eggspectations have launched all-you-can-eat nights three times a week. Try delicious pasta dishes on Wednesdays (AED54), flatbreads on Thursdays (AED66), and on tacos on Fridays (AED59). And we know you all love tacos, so go try and break a record of something.

A trend that is gathering steam – or maybe wispy white smoke from a liquid nitrogen cannister? – is Indian molecular gastronomy. The craze has just reached Bur Dubai in the form SpiceKlub, arriving as a franchise from its home in Mumbai. Expect novel takes on North Indian cuisine and street food, as well as deconstructed desserts with a molecular twist – Bombay pav bhaji fondue, traditional pav bhaji and Delhi papdi chaat with dough wafers mixed with chickpeas, boiled potatoes, tamarind paste and yogurt. Served in test-tubes, beakers and with lashings of billowing dry ice, of course.

Clinton Street Bakery
New Yorkers queued around the block for this bakery and once we tasted their fried chicken, pumpkin pie and brioche French toast in Downtown, we queued, too. Thankfully, it looks like the lines will shrink just a little as husband and wife team Neil Kleinberg and DeDe Lahman have opened a second Dubai venue on City Walk. Incredible views of Burj Khalifa, too.
