The Pitch: Friday brunch at Al Bahou

Dine under 88 magical Middle Eastern lanterns at this brunch inspired by the global travels of Ibn Battuta, which unites the hotel’s five main restaurants: Shanghai Chic, Chor Bazaar, Sicilia, Mistral and Moroc Lounge.

The Al Bahou Friday Family Brunch is a great choice for families with loads of activities. For children, there is giant bouncy castle, an indoor cinema, kids’ buffet and the Little Birds Club for our younger guests with minders.

The brunch is inspired by Ibn Battuta. We want our guests to rediscover travel through flavours, to set off on a journey and make moments where they feel they have travelled the world one bite at a time.

I would recommend that everyone starts with one of our signature “healthy shots”. One of my favourites would be the carrot, beetroot and ginger shot.

The star of our spread would be our home-smoked salmon – and nothing beats smoking it yourself. The depth in flavour just adds a certain edge to good quality salmon. We have different flavoured salmon that come out of our kitchen, the most popular being the cured salmon, smoked salmon and beetroot infused salmon. All of them are available at the Friday Brunch.

For kids, there’s the “Power Bites” menu. This features a selection of inventive and colourful dishes that are fresh, nutritious and composed of carefully selected ingredients. One of the highlights is the fruit sushi platter!

One of the most popular elements is the Peking duck station. This is the star of our award-winning restaurant Shanghai Chic and is very popular at the brunch, too.

Before you go, you have to try the sticky toffee pudding with a side of one of our many Mövenpick ice cream flavours. You cannot miss that!
