4 reasons why you should check out Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort’s Culinary Week
If you describe yourself as a foodie, food lover, food fan or anything of that sort…listen up. There’s no other place to be this December than Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort. Why? Because the Thai inspired property located on the iconic Palm Jumeirah is all set to host one of the biggest and best culinary celebrations when it kicks off its highly anticipated Culinary Week on Sunday, December 10.
To help you make the most and get the most of the celebrations that sadly come to an end on Saturday, December 16, we’ve shortlisted four reasons as to why you should check it out.
1. It’s a three-course menu
That’s right, you can pick and choose your starter, main and dessert. Just note that the signature dishes of some of the venues will be not be available. But in all honesty, with the offer priced at just AED279, we don’t really mind.
2. It’s a menu with stellar dishes
There are restaurants that have some good dishes and then there are those that pretty much have a faultless menu. To make your life easier, we’ve shortlisted three venues and the dishes that you have to try.
At Bushman’s – the adventurous will thank us for recommending the grilled crocodile skewers (yes, crocodile). Brought in from Queensland, the white meat goes through a 24-hour soak in a pineapple flavoured brine before being cooked in a sous vide and then grilled.
At Mekong – the Beijing half-roasted duck is the stuff dreams are made of…thin crisp skin served with egg pancake and a dash of hoisin and sweet plum sauce.
At The Beach House – it’s the linguine allo scoglio (for those who no speak Italiano, it’s linguine with every type of seafood you can imagine – shrimps, scallops, salmon, mussels et al).
3. It’s the real deal
For just AED279, the three-course menu promises you the freshest produce on your plate. From prime meat to fresh-from-the-sea fish with greens and veggies to match. In short: we’re talking top-notch ingredients being used in the preparation of each dish. Plus, the mouthwatering food is paired with a glass of grape or bottle of hops – score.
4. It’s an Instagram-loving set up
No, we’re not going to tell you what a piece of art the resort is but instead highlight each participating restaurant’s interior. With its rickshaw-style seating, oriental tables and Chinese lanterns, Mekong is the closest you’ll get to the Far East without leaving Dubai…a contrast to the laidback vibes of Bushman’s with its Aussie touches such as jarrah wood boomerangs on the walls and Aussie dollar coins lining the bar top. And November’s dipping temperatures make The Beach House Restaurant’s terrace the ideal place for lunch or dinner.
