Bazxar Curry Cartel
Get the gang together and head down to Bazxar on Tuesday nights for their brand new curry night. For AED119, the international cuisine specialists allow diners to select from three dishes which includes the likes of Chicken Tikka and the interestingly named Charlie Chapli Kebab. There are veggie options too, in the shape of Paneer Tikka, Biryani and Bread Ka Badshah. And if that wasn’t enough, the dishes come with unlimited flows of Masala Chaas (spicy buttermilk), Niboo Pani (Punjami lemonade) or Masala Thumbs Up (cola).
When: Every Tuesday night
Where: Gate Precinct Building 4, Balcony Level, DIFC

Wagamama
A new Wagamama’s flagship store is due to open in The Dubai Mall on January 31. The purveyors of soul-warming Japanese cuisine are laying roots in the world’s busiest mall as it looks to expand out further across the region. What would we recommend? Well, we’re glad you asked. Hirata steamed buns with tender beef are not to be missed, and the veggie Gyoza are dumpling perfection.

Croissant Day
It’s time to brush up on your French on Tuesday, January 30, because if you can recite the phrase “J’aime les croissants” (read: “I love croissants”) at Délifrance you’ll walk away with a delicious pastry. It’s all part of Croissant Day – no, we’ve never heard of it either – and from 8am until 10pm you can get yours absolutely gratis. It’s one per person, too.
When: Tuesday, January 30
Where: Délifrance, Ibn Battuta and The Dubai Mall
