4 restaurants to try in Dubai’s Mina Rashid Marina
Port Rashid (aka Mina Rashid) may have a rep of being a commercial port and cruise terminal but the area is slowly becoming a go-to place for residents looking to grab a quick bite or cup of Joe by the sea. And with a number of container styled eateries on offer, each of which offering a unique taste of its own, it’s clear to see why.
To help you get a bit more acquainted with your new go to area, we’ve shortlisted four of our favourite food spots.
Est! by Signor Promidor
Business Bay residents must have been heartbroken when this authentic Italian restaurant shut its doors last year but then (we’re sure) were a little relieved when it opened up again at Mina Rashid. With clean white walls and fuss-free furniture (think metal chairs and tables), there’s nothing to distract you while you devour the venue’s moreish burrata, a creamy cloud of goodness, that’s served with quartered tomatoes. The crispy thin-crust pizzas are just as good. As is the organic vanilla ice cream.

Pastryology
The dessert shop recently received a royal seal of approval with His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed al Maktoum dropping by. While the stools by the counter are great for a quick coffee, the leisurely act of pecking at a sinful dessert while slowly sipping on your cup of Joe should be done upstairs. One wall is lined with furniture in shades of pink and grey, while the opposite side has a number of comfy single seater sofas that are strategically placed by the large windows, perfect for those who’d like to soak up the marina views. The menu features desserts such as fluffy carrot cake, honeycomb lotus cakes and tarts. Drinks include s’mores hot chocolate – it’s delicious – and specialty coffee from Farmers Coffee.

Hamburgah
If you’re jaded by the sheer number of burger joints in the city, the sound of another one probably won’t excite you. But this one is a winner for many reasons. Firstly, it’s a divine patty sandwiched between fluffy potato buns. Secondly, it’s served with a side of scenic views. Plus, those with a smaller appetite are sorted too as the menu also features sliders, hot dogs and appetisers that includes the likes of chicken wings, mozzarella sticks and jalapeno poppers.

Right, we’ll leave you to droll a little and make some plans for the weekend. Our advice; put the location on your GPS because it’s a bit difficult to find at first.
