Kizmet is the new Downtown restaurant serving up food for the soul
Somewhat tucked away at Dubai Opera, is a restaurant that lives on a philosophy that ‘the food we grew up with should never be forgotten’.
We all have those flavours we can recall from our formative years, right? Well the soul food that’s dished up at Kizmet aims to bring the timeless and traditional tastes into the present day.
The menu here, depending on what place on the planet you grew up in, has the plates that will transport you back to a carefree time.
Duck leg tagine with couscous, harissa and almonds, scallops with sunflower seed risotto, almond butter and sorrel, and crispy whole sea bass with green mango, sticky coconut rice and banana leaf are all stars of the menu.
But it’s the sweet tooth section where Kizmet really comes into its own. From simple, yet moreish sorbets of yuzu, cherry and more, to Dulce De Leche cheesecake with chocolate ganache, lime gel and another side of passion fruit and banana sorbet, the desserts here fantastic.
So good in fact that unlike during your childhood, you can definitely skip your dinner and dive straight in.
