Dubai's Black Tap launches breakfast

You’ve blitzed through the burgers and chugged back a variety of its craft hops, but now it’s time to put Black Tap on your breakfast agenda.

That’s right, Jumeirah Al Naseem’s original Dubai outpost of the New York burger haunt is now serving up a funky breakfast menu featuring culinary influence from across the Americas.

Better still, you don’t even need to set the alarm – it’s all available from 10am to 4pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

While old-school American choons play in the background, pull up a seat and tuck into a range of eggs, pancakes and sandwiches, with a touch of Black Tap swagger.

The new menu is packed with dishes including chorizo breakfast tacos, crammed with scrambled eggs, chicken chorizo, smoky chipotle mayo, avocado cream and pico de gallo, and sprinkled with spring onion and fresh coriander. (Gotta get them greens in.)

Sound too colourful? Then embrace a bounty of beige with fried chicken and waffles. With blueberries smuggled into the waffles themselves, and the whole lot drenched in honey butter and smoky maple syrup, this one will also satisfy a sweet tooth.

Slow-roasted beef mixes up classic eggs Benedict, while orange, cranberry and ricotta and sweet cream cheese spread find themselves wedged into classic buttermilk pancakes.

Mouth like a waterfall already? It doesn’t end there.

Gourmet sarnies are also lurking among the options, including the ‘Broome Street’, filled with beef bacon, egg and cheese, and the Pastrami, packed with pepper beef brisket, egg, Swiss cheese, caramelised onions and special sauce. Eat your heart out, Katz Deli.

Given it’s 2019, the presence of avocado on toast has also been squeezed on to the (now groaning) menu. Ideal for your other half, it’s loaded with smoky chipotle, eggs your way, marinated cherry tomatoes and salad.

What are you waiting for? Time to shake a leg…
