Dubai’s Vietnamese Foodies opening second branch in Downtown

Looking for some healthy Vietnamese dishes? JLT won’t be the only place to get bun dishes, spring rolls and a filling bowl of pho for much longer.

Popular restaurant is set to open its second branch in the heart of Downtown Dubai, featuring a fresh new look, views of the Burj Khalifa, along with a revamped menu with new and healthy dishes.

Located on The Boulevard across from Dubai Opera, the new spot boasts an open kitchen and rotisserie, “minimalist” décor with Vietnamese influences, a spacious indoor seating area that can seat up to 70 guests along with an airy outdoor terrace that fit up to 40 diners.

Along with its old favourites, there’s plenty of new dishes to try thanks to the fresh new menu. Dig into aromatic roasted duck with bao buns, bun with chicken satay and chicken spring rolls.

What else? Expect luk lak beef stir-fry, prawns with fish roes and dynamite sauce, roasted chicken with bao buns, along with crispy chicken with lime leaf salt. Yeah, there are plenty of dishes to get acquainted with.

Vietnamese Foodies will also have a number of refreshing drinks, including orange juice with chia seeds and coconut juice with lemongrass.

Thanks to it’s open kitchen concept, diners will get to watch their dishes being prepared, influenced by Vietnam’s vibrant street food joints whipping up sizzling roasts.

“Vietnamese Foodies has had an amazing first year in Dubai and we are thankful for all the wonderful support we have received from the community and our partners,” said executive chef Lily Hoa Nguyen.

“Our new restaurant in the Downtown area caters not only to the residents and nearby office workers, but also to the many tourists who visit Dubai. Our new location will offer diners a traditionally authentic experience but with a modern twist, a new menu, new minimalist design and a lively atmosphere, both indoors and out.”

You can head over to the new spot when it officially opens its doors on Thursday April 25.

In the meantime, you can head over to where Vietnamese Foodies all start in JLT, serving up favourites including “Com Ga Kep Sa” (lemongrass grilled chicken rice with seasonal stir-fried vegetables), “Goi Cuon Tom” (rice paper shrimp rolls with nuoc cham sauce), and “Bun Bo Nam Bo” (bun with beef tenderloin stir-fry).

The restaurant has stated that it’s “Absolutely Phobulous!” We think so too, Vietnamese Foodies.
