Three iftars to try in Dubai today

Why not go out tonight and take iftar with friends.

Head to one of Dubai's great restaurants and sample some of the brilliant cuisines on offer.

Here are three of our favourites.

Dubai Opera
Held in Dubai Opera’s banquet hall – boasting the largest venue in Downtown Dubai – guests can expect to break their fast with an iftar buffet featuring five-star Arabic and international cuisine. Sounds good to us. Kicking off on Monday May 6, the daily event will have a variety of live stations to pick from, fresh Ramadan juices, along with a variety of Arabic sweets and desserts for those with a sweet tooth. While guests tuck into a spread of food, they will be serenaded by classical and oriental melodies from the live musical entertainment. It is at Dubai Opera, after all.
Where: Dubai Opera, Downtown Dubai
When: Daily, sunset-9.30pm.
Price: AED260 (adults), AED130 (ages six to 11), free (six and under).

Seven Sands Restaurant
Here’s an iftar that serves a slice of Arabic culture along with it. All kinds of questions about Ramadan and the history of Dubai are encouraged here thanks to the restaurant’s collaboration with The Arab Culturalist. While you learn all about the city’s past, take on a selection of traditional mezze and a buffet with authentic Emirati main courses, a carving station and a large selection of desserts.
Where: The Beach, JBR
When: Monday-Friday, sunset-9pm
Price: AED255

This laid-back, Mediterranean-inspired restaurant is perfect for those looking for breezy poolside vibes. With stunning views of the JBR skyline and the Arabian Gulf on its spacious terrace, tuck into an authentic menu featuring flavours of the Levant and fresh Mediterranean dishes.
