The Masterchef restaurant in Dubai has its first guest chef
If you've ever watched Masterchef and thought "I'd love to try that...." Well, now's your chance.
The first Masterchef host chef has been announced for the Dubai Marina restaurant, and it’s the youngest ever Masterchef India winner, Nikita Gandhi.
The Abu Dhabi-raised chef will host the first champion menu at Masterchef, The TV Experience on Thursday June 6 and Friday June 7.
There'll be a five-course menu for AED260, showcasing her twists on popular Indian vegetarian cuisine.
Dishes will include her signature, aubergine Parmesan, which features crispy aubergine layered with ricotta and makhani sauce.
You'll also get to taste blackout pani puri (charcoal puri, mango and pineapple salsa, passion fruit foam) and paneer tikka empanadas.
Main courses include wild mushroom kofta and there’s a range of desserts.
“Having grown up in the UAE, I feel a huge sense of pride that Dubai is home to the very first MasterChef, the TV Experience restaurant,” says Gandhi.
“In a city which welcomes cuisines from the world over and where diners have an appetite for creative cuisine, I’m hoping the spin I’ve added to traditional Indian dishes help open guests’ eyes to the possibilities of reinterpreting classics.”
Our eyes (and our bellies) are well and truly open.
