First-ever Restaurant Week comes to Dubai Design District
For those who’ve been to the trendiest part of the city, Dubai Design District (d3), you’ll know the food is as important as its arty side. Not in the know? You’re about to be.
d3 has announced its first-ever ‘Restaurant Week’ to celebrate all of its independent chefs, cafés and restaurants – all with a global range of cuisines and handpicked menu options.
Taking place from Sunday June 30 until Saturday July 6, the week-long event will feature eight of d3’s eateries, offering a special edition one-off menu made up of ‘secret dishes’ that have never been tried before. We’re intrigued.
What restaurants are taking part? For Mediterranean cuisine, check out The Lighthouse, while Akiba Dori and Frame will be showcasing a selection of Japanese delights.
There’s also Molecule for international dishes and Chez Charles for those that are fans of French food. As for authentic Italian dishes, check out Larte, or Mohalla for a selection of Indian cuisine. Finally, there’s One Life – a wholesome restaurant and café for healthy bites.
“d3’s first ever restaurant week will shine the spotlight on many of the great dining options we have at the district”, said executive director at d3 Khadija Al Bastaki.
“It will allow visitors to come and try exclusive dishes created by the in-house chefs while enjoying the surrounding creative community. We hope this initiative further emphasises d3’s position as a destination for design.”
Prices will vary between restaurants, but are fixed between 99AED and 150AED, with the special menus available all day long.
