REVIEW: Fume

We thought we’d covered all the best Christmas dinners on offer this year, but this brunch just has to go on the list. Fume, in Dubai Marina’s Pier 7, has a set menu sharing brunch with three courses (four dishes served up each course!) so you won’t leave hungry.

The Christmas Day offer is an amazing spread of international dishes. Look out for the Foie Gras Pate on toast with berry jam, stuffed turkey with all the trimmings, rib eye steak with the biggest, fluffiest Yorkshire pudding we have ever seen and the mushroom parcel.

The drinks are pretty special too, with bubbles flavoured by candy canes and chocolate (actual candy cane in our glass with sprinkles of white chocolate around the edge) to cinnamon infused cocktails.

Dessert involves all the usual festive suspects. Just because you are full at this point doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try the custard the chef has made to pour over the mince pies. It may be a sharing concept, but we kept this all to ourselves

Of course there are the standard festive tunes pumping out of the speakers to really set the mood. If you need to take a break from the table there is a cosy wooden bar where the walls are filled with old biscuit tins and the tables are packed in for a lively few drinks after food.

Once you’ve consumed all that turkey and candy cane bubbles, Marina Walk is handy to work off all those mince pies (all 6km of it).

If you can’t join Fume to celebrate on the big day you can treat yourself to their festive Al La Carte menu which is running form the 20th of December to the 26th.

The four hour Christmas Brunch set menu is AED195 with soft drinks and AED380 including house beverages.
