3 Ramadan pop-ups in Dubai
each year we’re seeing more contemporary and trendy iftar offerings… like these.
Ramadan Nights by Dish
The signature dish of an eight-hour slow roasted spiced shoulder of lamb with saffron labneh and scented rice pilaf is enough to make us want to drop in to this funky offering from catering favourites, Dish. The industrial-style venue is also pleasingly relaxed; a hip underground warehouse space with an open kitchen where you can watch your food being prepared. Definitely something different.
Where: Warehouse Four, Al Quoz
Price: AED195 per person

#THISISNOTABUFFET
#THISISNOTABUFFET, another Al Quoz offering, is a community pop-up Iftar with a focus on celebrating togetherness and community spirit. The event takes place in a customised warehouse in the ever-cool arty community. In keeping with the spirit of Ramadan, five percent of the revenue generated will be donated to charity. Don’t expect great sprawling buffets; the Arabic cuisine with a modern twist menu is available to order in courses or small tapas-style plates.
Where: The Yard, Alserkal Avenue
Price: Choose from a two or five course menu ranging from AED90-AED210 or Arabic tapas bar priced at AED12-35 per dish
